TOKYO Alex McGough Youth Jersey , Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- Japan's economy grew at an annualized rate of 4.0 percent in the April-June quarter, the Cabinet Office said on Monday.
According to the government, the data marks the sixth successive quarter of expansion and is owing in part to increased capital expenditure and private consumption.

The latest data also marks the fastest pace of expansion since the January-March period in 2015, the Cabinet Office's data revealed, and came in ahead of median analysts' predictions for a 2.5-percent annualized increase.
The expansion in inflation-adjusted gross domestic product equates to a 1.0-percent increase from the previous quarter.

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- New statistical projections by researchers at the University of Washington (UW) show a 90 percent chance that temperatures will increase this century by 2.0 to 4.9 degrees Celsius.
Instead of working on scenarios for future carbon emissions Will Dissly Youth Jersey , ranging from "business-as-usual" emissions from growing economies to serious worldwide efforts to transition away from fossil fuels, the new study focuses on three quantities that underpin future emissions: total world population, gross domestic product per person and the amount of carbon emitted for each dollar of economic activity, known as carbon intensity.
Using statistical projections for each of these three quantities based on 50 years of past data in countries around the world Rashaad Penny Youth Jersey , the study published this week in Nature Climate Change finds a median value of 3.2 degrees Celsius warming by 2100.
The researchers, including lead author Adrian Raftery, a professor of statistics and sociology, and co-author Dargan Frierson Ugo Amadi Youth Jersey , an associate professor of atmospheric sciences, have recognized that what matters more is the carbon intensity, the amount of carbon emissions produced for each dollar of economic activity. That value has dropped over years as countries boost efficiency and enact standards to reduce carbon emissions.
However, how quickly that value drops in future decades will be crucial for determining future warming. And warming of the planet by 2 degrees Celsius is often seen as a "tipping point" that people should try to avoid by limiting greenhouse gas emissions.
The new findings indicate that there is only a 5 percent chance that Earth will warm 2 degrees or less by the end of this century; and a mere 1 percent chance that warming could be at or below 1.5 degrees Phil Haynes Youth Jersey , which is the target set by the 2016 Paris Agreement on climate change.
In their work, the researchers initially expected to find that higher populations would increase the projections for global warming. Instead, they were surprised to learn that population has a fairly small impact, because most of the population increase will be in Africa Gary Jennings Jr. Youth Jersey , which uses few fossil fuels.

8 Tips To Enable You To Get That Raise
Nobody likes going in to ask the boss for a raise, but everybody likes getting one! Unfortunately, occasionally the only method to get the boss to hike your pay would be to go in and ask. This could be a bit stressful and awkward, but here's 8 tips you can use to make asking easier and better your chances of getting that well deserved pay increase.
1. Be Prepared. You cannot just burst into your bosses office demanding a raise - you need a plan of action. List all the projects you have completed since your last pay increase. Make note of how successful they have been and how they've elevated productivity or saved the company money. If you've accrued any new job skills make a list of these as well. Also write down any special skills or knowledge you bring to the job. Find out what the typical raise or salary is for somebody in your position. Go in ready with the facts and it will likely be hard for your boss to argue with you!
2. Always ask for more than you really want. It is the bosses first instinct to negotiate and she or he will inevitable attempt to talk you down. By asking for a bit more than what you really want then you might finish up getting what you really wanted in the first place! If they say yes at your first price then you've got a bonus!
3. Anticipate to negotiate. You may want to attempt other ways of getting a raise too Cody Barton Youth Jersey , like additional vacation time, employee perks or more time off. All of these may be just as good (if not better!) than an actual amount of money.
4. Select your time wisely. Avoid selecting a Monday or Friday because that's typically when bosses are at their busiest. Based on research, people are most receptive after lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday. At any rate, attempt to.
