BAGHDAD， Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- At least two people were killed and 10 others wounded in a car bomb explosion at a crowded area in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad， a police source said.
The attack took place before noon when a booby-trapped car detonated at al-Nahda commercial area on the eastern bank of Tigris River， the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The massive blast set fire on several civilian cars and badly damaged many other cars and nearby buildings， the source said.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack， but the Islamic State (IS) militant group， in most cases， is responsible for deadly bombings targeting Iraqi security forces as well as crowded areas， including markets， cafes and mosques across the country.
The attack came as the Iraqi security forces backed by anti-IS international coalition are carrying out a major offensive to drive out the IS militants from its last major stronghold in and around Mosul.
Many blame the current chronic instability， cycle of violence， and the emergence of extremist groups， such as the IS， on the U.S.， which invaded and occupied Iraq in March 2003.

Bakkabulindi said that Uganda is not afraid of being suspended by FIFA over interference noting that FUFA has to oblige to the new regulations as set by government.
"We are not scared about a FIFA ban depending on what action we take. We have our style of running affairs in Uganda and every sports association must now send their accountability as per the new regulations Ecco Intrinsic Homme Pas Cher ," he said.
Last week FIFA suspended Sudan because of government interference.
According to FUFA, the accountability as requested by government would be sent in due time.

MADRID， Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- Spain's Consumer Price Index (IPC) registered a 1.5 percent rise in December in comparison with the same month in 2015， according to figures published by the Spanish National Institute of Statistics (INE) on Friday.
INE explained that the main cause for the difference was the rise in fuel prices in 2016， while 2015 had seen fuel cost decline.
Meanwhile， consumer prices rose 0.6 percent between November and December this year， meaning that Spain has now seen five consecutive months without any drop in prices， while the 0.6 percent hike in prices is the largest December increase since 2010.
This has had a negative effect on purchasing power， given that the average increase in salaries in Spain was 1.08 percent up until November， while public employees received a 1 percent pay increase and pensions have risen by just 0.25 percent.

BEIJING， Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign minister Wang Yi may have bilateral contact with his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida as the two will attend a trilateral meeting between China， Japan， and the Republic of Korea (ROK)， a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday.
The Eighth China-Japan-ROK foreign ministers' meeting will be held in in Tokyo on Wednesday and Wang will attend the meeting upon invitation， spokesperson Lu Kang said.
Lu said it is quite normal for parties to have some contact and exchanges during multilateral occasions.
Regardless of the opposition from regional neighbors and the international community， Japan has been known to hype up the South China Sea issue， Lu said.
